California: According to CNN, authorities reported that a small plane crashed into a hangar at a California airport while taking off, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane crash took place at Cable Airport in Upland at approximately 6:30 am.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department announced on Twitter that three individuals aboard an aircraft were found deceased. Firefighters are currently working on extinguishing the fire and investigators are on their way to the scene. Both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
Upland, a city located approximately 36 miles east of Los Angeles, was the site of the plane crash. Meanwhile, in Oshkosh City, Wisconsin, two people lost their lives and two others sustained injuries in two separate aircraft crashes on Saturday, as reported by The Hill. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the deaths of two occupants of a T-6 Texas plane after deploying rescue and dive teams, along with other first responders. The authorities received multiple calls on Saturday morning about an airplane crashing into the lake, according to The Hill’s report. Local law enforcement is collaborating with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), the National Transportation Safety Board, and the Federal Aviation Administration to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
In another unrelated occurrence around noon on Saturday, a Rotorway 162F helicopter and an ELA Eclipse 10 gyrocopter collided near Wittman Regional Airport, officials stated.
